All of which add up to make the Bank a hugely rewarding place to work.The Data Collection & Publication domain is looking for an Agile Delivery Manager to be accountable for all aspects of Agile IT delivery leading to the successful end to end implementation of the IT element of a project and, where appropriate, coordinating directly with the Project Manager and Test Manager.You will work with a cross functional team across all platform teams in the division. You will aim to identify the appropriate solution design and those responsible for delivering that solution.You will work with other teams to manage project assigned internal IT resources to deliver the solution to the agreed plan, considering time, budget and quality, whilst motivating the delivery team and acting as servant leader.The amount of work required of an Agile Delivery Manager for a given project will vary dependent on the size, complexity and content of the Project. However, the scope of generic responsibilities is consistent across projects.Role RequirementsHow you will make a differenceFacilitating cross-functional groups to plan and deliver projects – identifying which methodology best fits the needs and style of the team.
The agreement of scope (including prioritization) and delivery plans in conjunction with Project Managers, Business representatives and other technology teams.
The management of key technology deliverables, working within agreed processes, leading to successful delivery against plan.
The coordination of Technology activities and management of dependencies to deliver the required work packages across major projects, minor projects, small change releases and standalone change requests requiring an Agile Delivery Manager.
The reporting of Technology progress against plans to the PM and/or Platform Lead, managing / escalating exceptions to the PM and project governance boards and/or Platform Leads.
Facilitating Agile ceremonies and overseeing production of relevant artefacts.What we are looking forSome Experience of agile and waterfall delivery methodology
Strong emphasis on quality, accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to advise senior staff on area of expertise and present at Project Board / Delivery Board meetings business decisions at senior management level.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational & facilitation skills with scrum master experience.
Capable of planning. Demonstrates forward planning of own work, in alignment with the overall project.
Some working knowledge of Jira & Confluence or similar packages.
Be able to quickly identify and resolve issues and flaws in product delivery so that they can be escalated appropriately.
Awareness of management of Risk, identification & mitigation.
Have some professional experience and /or appropriate industry qualifications.
Some experience in commercial awareness and supplier management.
Be keen to Invest time in professional and personal developmentDesirable Criteria but not criticalExperience using the Government Digital Services (GDS) Service Standard.
Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud services.
Experience delivering to Cloud (SaaS and PaaS) platforms.

We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate.In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below:

  • A non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/95th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/50th) or decrease (to 1/120th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year.
  • A discretionary performance award based on a current award pool.
  • A 7% benefits allowance with the option to take as salary or purchase a wide range of flexible benefits. (Note that from April 2023 and for the Benefits year 2023/24, this will increase to 8%)
  • 26 days’ annual leave with option to buy up to 12 additional days through flexible benefits.
  • Private medical insurance and income protection.
