Permanent Part-Time positions

Multiple Positions available in South Melbourne (2days per week- Thursday and Friday) and Bentleigh East (2days per week- Monday and Thursday)

BHN is seeking a Dentist to join our experienced and remarkable multi-Disciplinary dental team based across 2 locations.

Be part of a broader team of 30+ professionals (Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Exercise Physiologists, Counsellors, and Social Workers over 22 locations). Avail of the opportunity to work alongside OHT’s, Prosthodontists and Dental Assistants in the team providing a broad range of support to individuals and their families. We provide regular practice reviews and case consult opportunities. Be part of a positive and proactive team providing Oral Health services to our community.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide high quality clinical services, in line with scope of practice.
  • Maintain accredited infection control standards.
  • Simple and complex direct restorations
  • Extractions and minor oral surgery procedures
  • Preventive services and oral health education tailored to the client’s needs.
  • Appropriate examination, diagnosis and treatment of emergency and general dental patients

Requirements and attributes:

  • Suitable position for an experienced Dentist
  • Bachelor of Health Sciences or recognised equivalent Dental Sciences qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Victorian Radiation Licence
  • Empathy/Cultural Awareness – Demonstrates an interest in and an appreciation of different cultures and seeks to understand and effectively address the issues and views of others.
  • Initiative & Accountability – Takes responsibility for patient care and pro-actively implements treatment plans and addresses barriers to healthcare.
