The Role:

 

Reporting to the CFO, the role holder will lead, manage, support and oversee Oxfam GB-wide accounting, reporting and Finance Business Partnering Activities, including management reporting, financial budgeting and forecasting as well as the provision of financial and commercial insight to the organisation and the wider confederation.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be / have the following attributes:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant
  • Previous substantial experience of working in a senior management position within a large and complex multi-disciplinary organisation.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills with an ability to influence at senior levels
  • Proven ability to horizon scan and interpret national, political, financial and other developments as they impact on the finances of the organisation, ensuring a proactive approach and advising/informing Senior Leadership Team
  • Proven analytical capabilities and to think and plan strategically, corporately, with a creative approach to complex problem solving and delivery with competing deadlines.
  • Experience of contributing to organisational strategy and plan development
  • Ability to build financial models and experience of setting multi-year financial plans
  • High levels of integrity 
  • Excellent planning skills and time management
  • Sector experience or understanding
