About The Job: IMA World Health is seeking a Deputy Chief of Party with significant experience addressing social and behavior change (SBC) for integrated health services to lead an anticipated USAID-funded Social Behavior Change project in Tanzania. The 5-year project will focus on improving access and utilization of integrated health services for maternal and child health, family planning, nutrition, malaria, HIV, WASH, and global health security.
The Deputy Chief of Party will ensure technical and administration implementation of high impact, proven interventions to meet project goals and reporting requirements. The DCOP will assume the responsibilities of the Chief of Party (COP) in the absence of the COP. S/he will take a technical leadership role in coordination with key stakeholders and other implementing partners, including numerous government institutions and representatives, the private sector, and national partners to ensure that SBC interventions contribute towards outcomes in line with national, regional and global best practices.
The position will be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania and will report to the COP. The DCOP will be expected to visit project sites periodically. Actual hiring is contingent upon signed agreement and USAID approval.
