Deputy Finance Coordinator

The Dep Finance Coordinator will have in charge to train the national Finance assistant of the Coordination who is a new comers on the mission. He will have to ensure that he has complete autonomy in managing the Coordination’s day-to-day accounting, closing its cash and bank journals and checking the accounting of the bases before submitting them to the Finance Coordinator for validation.

  • He will also ensure that the Admin Managers and their assistants are all trained and self-sufficient in the use of Saga software for their provisional accounting closing before being sent to the Coordination.
  • Under the responsibility of the Finance Coordinator, he/she will take part in ensuring that the regularization of files recorded in the accounting system over the past few months is complete, and if necessary in supporting the older files of closed projects.

The main challenges:

  • Good knowledge of Saga and the accounting closing cycle, international NGO purchasing procedures.

Priorities for the 2/3 first months:

  • Train the Finance Coordinator Assitant and the Admi Manager and/or the Finance Assitant Manager on Saga.

Your Profile:
Education / academic background:

  • 2 years experience in the humanitarian sector

 

  • 2 years experience on a similar position

Specific skills and experience:

  • Accounting Manager
  • Expert on Saga and knowledge on INGO Finance Management
  • Language: French and English
