Join CARE in our mission to create a world of hope, tolerance, and social justice. Since 1945, we’ve been at the forefront of the fight against poverty, starting with our lifesaving CARE Packages® to survivors of World War II. Today, CARE is a global leader in eradicating poverty, and we’re looking for a Deputy Regional Director – Program Quality (DRD-PQ) to drive impact in Asia.
As the DRD-PQ, you’ll play a strategic role in ensuring that CARE’s programs in Asia align with our Vision 2030 and global strategy. You’ll lead efforts to continually improve program quality and impact, while also supporting knowledge dissemination and enhancing visibility of our work in the region.
Your responsibilities will include supporting the development and execution of regional strategies, coordinating with key stakeholders, and driving programmatic innovations. You’ll also lead efforts in resource mobilization, providing vital support to country offices and building their capacity to win high-value projects.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a Master’s degree or equivalent, with at least 7-10 years of experience in strategy, design, monitoring, evaluation, and fundraising. Strong communication, facilitation, and leadership skills are a must, along with experience working in and supporting the Asia region.
In this role, you’ll have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
Strategic Leadership: You’ll work closely with the Regional Director to develop and execute strategic plans that align with CARE’s Vision 2030 and global strategy. Your strategic insights and leadership will be crucial in guiding our efforts to achieve lasting impact in the region.
Program Quality and Impact: You’ll be responsible for continually improving the quality and impact of CARE’s programs in Asia. This will involve overseeing the development and implementation of robust monitoring, evaluation, analysis, and learning (MEAL) systems to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
Coordination and Collaboration: You’ll provide leadership to increase coordination, collaboration, communication, and harmonization of programming across country offices in the region. By fostering a culture of collaboration and teamwork, you’ll ensure that our programs are cohesive, efficient, and impactful.
Resource Mobilization and Fundraising: You’ll lead efforts to mobilize resources for our programs, working closely with country offices to identify funding opportunities, develop proposals, and build relationships with donors. Your ability to secure funding will be critical in ensuring the sustainability and success of our programs.
Programmatic Innovation: You’ll take the lead in developing programmatic strategies that drive sustainable change and impact in the region. This will involve identifying innovative approaches and leveraging partnerships to maximize the effectiveness of our programs.
Capacity Building: You’ll provide guidance and support to country offices to ensure that their programs conform to CARE’s programming principles, frameworks, and standards. Your expertise and leadership will be instrumental in helping country offices strengthen their programs and maximize their impact.
