The Deputy Team Leader is part of a team conducting NTS/EORE, CMRS/CMRC tasks. The Deputy Team Leader is in charge of the team when the Team Leader is not present. In support of the Team Leader, he/she is responsible for the team management, deployment of team members in the field, team equipment and safety.
General Responsibilities:
The Deputy Team Leader will deploy as a Searcher first and foremost.
The Deputy Team Leader will take on the leadership role in the absence of a Team Leader or otherwise instructed.

Act as an ambassador for NPA, through professionalism and conduct
Adhere to all NPA policies, regulations and procedures
Maintain and care for all equipment issued by NPA and for any loss or damage, you will be liable for repair or replacement
Follow all verbal and/or written instructions, unless in direct violation of safety and duty of care
Ensure a safe workplace and protect all staff and equipment from damage/ injury.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Team Leader in management of team inventory
Assist the Team Leader and drivers in monitoring vehicle maintenance and repairs
Ensure safety for all team members during transport between base and on site.
Ensure survey and clearance operations are conducted as per NPA Iraq SOP.
Ensure that all Searchers have the required tools and equipment in good working order.
Instruct each operator where to work and the tools and procedures to use.
Remain in the working area with the Searchers at all times when the team is working.
Aid the team in the correct application of HR, Finance, IM and Logistic procedures.
Follow and deploy the team as instructed by the Team Leader.
Conduct QA/QC checks as instructed by the Team Leader.
Report all safety concerns immediately to their Team Leader.
Produce accurate maps and reports reflecting the daily work.
Ensure team driver maintains vehicle as per driver SOP and his JD.
Oversee and manage his team’s leave and other HR issues.
Other Tasks given by the Team Leader.

Other Qualifications:
Verbal proficiency in Arabic
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication and understanding skills
Able to work effectively under stressful situations and adapt to difficult conditions
Willingness and ability to travel within the country
