We are seeking a highly motivated Design/Component Engineer with a strong theoretical background and relevant powertrain experience, ideally with expertise in diesel components. This role is open to candidates ranging from recent graduates to experienced professionals. Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for this position.Key Responsibilities:

• Engage in product design, simulation, and testing for Off-Highway and Heavy-Duty common rail diesel systems.
• Collaborate with small, close-knit teams to support system performance and component design.
• Participate in the entire design life cycle, including validation, testing, and reporting.
• Analyse and iterate designs in response to customer engine development.
• Conduct change point analysis to determine necessary validation.
• Investigate returned components and assess customer validation.
• Prepare and present materials to justify the release of parts to production.

Desired Experience:

• Mechanical Engineering (Automotive, Off-Highway, Aviation).
• Design life cycle (Automotive, Off-Highway, Aviation).
• Validation, testing, and reporting.

About the Role:

• Work at the Coventry Engineering Centre, which handles design, validation, and production of FIE components for customers across Europe.
• Engage with three key groups:

• Application customer support teams across Europe.
• System team supporting system performance (e.g., rail pressure and injector calibration).
• Component engineers ensuring component design meets customer requirements (performance, life, etc.).
• Benefit from extensive resources, including three test rigs for engine simulation and detailed component performance measurement, as well as a component inspection laboratory.

£38000 – 55000 per year
