For the outcome “Update Argentina’s SNICC website and include the latest results of the national GHG inventory (2019 and 2020) (Outcome #3)” the Design Expert will support the execution of the following deliverables: No. 3.1: Identification of needs for updating the website. No. 3.2: Presentation of needs and work plan. No. 3.3: Generation of documents explaining the website architecture and a progress report. No. 3.4: Delivery of the final pilot version of the site. No. 3.5: Evaluation of possibilities to host more information on the site, based on the needs of the NCCD.

Duties and Responsibilities
The overall objective of ICAT is to support the implementation of domestic monitoring, reporting and verifications (MRV) efforts and goals through country-specific capacity building programs of national stakeholders, provide training on MRV concepts, methods, and tools, including iterative testing and application of ICAT Guide, continued observation of future UNFCCC transparency requirements and development of a road map to sustain ICAT outcomes. The Design Expert will work in close collaboration with the others national consultants and the Project Manager Adviser in order to update Argentina’s SNICC website and include the latest results of the national GHG inventory (2019 and 2020). The Design Expert will work closely with the National Climate Change Directorate (NCCD) and the UNEP-CCC. He/she will be responsible for identifying the information missing, the updates needed as well as propose potential improvements. He/she will also support the IT expert of ICAT Argentina to prepare the deliverables and outputs specified under the outcome “Update Argentina’s SNICC website and include the latest results of the national GHG inventory (2019 and 2020) (Outcome #3)”.
Qualifications/special skills
• A University degree, preferably in Visual Communication Design or a closely related area is required. • At least 7 years of experience in visual communication design is required. • At least 3 years of previous experience in institutional communication on sustainability, environmental and/or climate change issues is required. • At least 2 years of experience with UX Design is required. • Previous experience working with national governmental institutions, preferably related to sustainable development or climate change is required. • Previous experience working in the elaboration of national plans and strategies related to the environment, preferably in climate change issues is required. • Permanent residence in Argentina is required. Key Competencies: • The consultant should demonstrate the capability to identify, analyze, and actively participate in resolving issues and problems. This includes the ability to exercise judgment in the given context, plan tasks effectively, and manage conflicting priorities. A sense of pride in one’s work and achievements are crucial. • The consultant is expected to be conscientious and efficient in fulfilling commitments, adhering to deadlines, and delivering results. Motivation should stem from professional rather than personal concerns. Persistence in the face of complex problems or challenges and maintaining composure in stressful situations are key attributes. Furthermore, the contractor should have practical experience using IT tools such as Microsoft Office.
Languages
• Fluency in written and spoken Spanish is required. Knowledge of other United Nations languages (Arabic, Mandarin Chinese, English, French, Russian) is an asset.
