JOB SUMMARY:
The Designer Production Artist creates CARE branded collateral for print, web, social and motion creative assets. Working closely with the Creative Director, Lead Designer and creative team to communicate CARE’s work to the public, and visually reinforce the organization’s leading role in humanitarian work. He/she is responsible for ensuring that creative products have a consistent, distinctive and compelling look and feel in adherence with CARE Global brand standards. Maintain a high level of familiarity with the CARE brand standards and produce designs that yield positive success.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
Design
- The Designer/Production Artist is responsible for designing creative collateral across various mediums: print, digital multi-media, social platforms, email and integrated campaigns for external and internal audiences. As a design expert the position is responsible on a daily basis for the creation of compelling layouts and high-impact graphics to attract attention and deliver quick, cohesive messages, convey often complex information and tell stories.
Scheduling and Timing
- The Designer/Production Artist is responsible for liaising across departments to deliver on all creative needs, scheduling and working with the Snr Designer and Creative Director to stay ahead of all project needs. Additionally the designer will work with external vendors and agencies, vetting for brand standards. Testing will be vital, continuing to identify industry trends and optimize design for impact.
Design Support
- The Designer/Production Artist is responsible for supporting the Senior Designer’s workload.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Portfolio exhibiting strong design principles in typography, color, and layout
- Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced collaborative environment
- Ability to learn quickly, solve problems and work independently. Attention to detail and ability to apply and uphold brand standards.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite: Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop.
- Microsoft Office: Word and PowerPoint
