Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS) at the University at Albany seeks applicants for a Desktop and Mobile Computing Specialist, specializing in Apple operating systems (macOS and iOS) and devices. The Specialist is a member of the Desktop and Mobile Computing Group (DMCG), supporting all University desktop and mobile computing endpoints (Windows, macOS, iOS, and Linux). She/he/they develops and relies on tools and processes for enterprise management of endpoints to deploy operating systems, applications and patches, maintain an accurate device inventory, and support the secure and reliable operation of the University’s workstations and mobile devices. The Specialist works on service and project teams associated with research, teaching & learning, information security, and infrastructure services. The Specialist will strive to become a subject matter expert providing guidance, oversight, and recommendations related to macOS, iOS, Windows, and Linux endpoints.
