Engineers Without Borders Norway (EWB-Norway) and Field Ready Türkiye (FRT) are embarking on a vital project funded by Innovation Norway’s Humanitarian Innovation Programme. This project seeks to address critical water challenges in the Azaz district, focusing on innovative, locally manufactured water treatment solutions and establishing sustainable Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) to empower communities.
Scope of Work:
- Design and implement locally manufactured water filtration systems in Azaz, enhancing access to safe drinking water and reducing waterborne diseases.
- Engage and collaborate with local communities for the development, installation, and maintenance of these systems, ensuring sustainability and community ownership.
- Conduct capacity building and training for community members on water management, water testing, and system maintenance.
- Work under budget and time constraints, leveraging local resources and adhering to international standards for water quality.
Key Deliverables:
- Installation of functional water filtration systems impacting approximately 40,000 to 60,000 individuals.
- Development and execution of community engagement and training programs.
- Comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, budgets, and progress reports.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in water treatment projects, with a focus on innovative and sustainable solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to work under tight deadlines and within budgetary constraints.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in English. Knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including local communities and international partners.
