The One UN Impact Fund is a vehicle for pooled donor resources channeled to priority areas where the UN has a comparative advantage and where multi-agency cooperation supports the achievement of more sustainable results.
The Fund will facilitate the realization of UNSDCF outcomes by strengthening the system-wide planning and coordination processes and channeling consistent and predictable funding towards the highest priority needs determined by strong evidence-based analysis. The Fund will optimize the work and funding of UN agencies, funds, and programmes, reducing redundancy/overlaps, and facilitating integrated solutions. To ensure its operation, facilitate a programmatic cycle and support decision-making processes, the Fund is supported by a Secretariat led by the Partnerships Officer in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office (RCO Partnerships Officer) and one contractual personnel. The Secretariat is hosted in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office and provides technical, management, and administrative support to Board of the Fund and is responsible for organizing the Fund’s processes related to programme review, approval, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The contractual personnel would be responsible for liaising with donors to solicit funding commitments, in liaising with Participating UN Organisations (PUNOs) to solicit their proposals for grants, update of Fund website, communication with MPTF on transfer of the allotted
Consultants Terms of Reference Template funds to PUNOs, compilation of PUNO reports for the consolidated Fund report, and other related tasks as assigned by the RCO Partnerships Officer.
The consultant, under direct supervision of WHE Team Lead, WHO I.R Iran, and in collaboration with the
Partnerships Officer in the UN Resident Coordinator’s Office RCO Partnerships Officer and overall guidance of
the WHO Representative, will deliver the following:
  • Coordination of the UN Country Team (UNCT) meetings, and UNCT related events, surveys, and
  • scorecards;
  • Conduct Research and analysis on funding trends and donors and partner priorities in Iran;
  • Implement and report on the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF)
  • Resource Mobilization and Partnership Strategy for UN Iran;
  • Development of outreach, advocacy, and communication material for increased resource mobilization
  • and partnerships;
  • Coordinate, communicate, and report on the One UN Fund status;
  • Facilitate the coordination and implementation of joint programs, including the DG INTPA Joint
  • Programme: organization of meetings, drafting of consolidated narrative reports and overall support
  • for the monitoring of activities implemented by UN Agencies;
  • Organize advocacy events, meetings with the international community (OWG), including the
  • preparation of talking points, background documents, speeches and minutes of meetings;
  • Strengthen the UN brand via events, media and public relations opportunities targeted to the diverse
  • partners, in close collaboration with the UN Communications Group and UNIC;
  • Coordinate with UNSDCF Results Groups and UN Iran inter-agency working groups, including PSEA
  • Task Force and Gender Theme Group.
  • Support on the implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the new UN Sustainable Development
  • Cooperation Framework for Iran.
  • a final report on promoting sustainable development in Iran: strengthening partnerships and
  • mobilizing resources for positive impact. 
Specific requirements:
Qualifications required:
  • Essential: First University degree in international relations, Marketing, Business Administration, Innovation
  • and Entrepreneurship, social sciences, or related area.
Experience required:
Essential:
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in sustainable development, international relations, marketing, advertisement, and communication is required.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience in the private sector and specifically in working on Corporate Social Responsibility is desirable.
  • Previous experience in the United Nations Resident Coordinator system is desirable.
  • Experience in organizing and providing support for senior level meetings and missions is desirable.
  • Knowledge of UN and related procedures, principles and terminologies is an advantage.

Language requirements:
  • Fluency in English and Farsi is required.
