The team

Based in our Renewables and Decarbonisation team, the role will work on a transformative major
grant scheme supporting non-profit organisations across England, Scotland, and Wales. The focus
of the scheme is to help people struggling with their energy bills, reducing carbon emissions
and stimulating innovation on energy issues.

You will be part of a collaborative, inclusive and supportive team working together to help
grant funding achieve the maximum positive impact to address the cost of living and climate
crises.

The role 

  • This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference for people struggling to get by, as
    well as tackling climate change.
  • You will play a key role in helping to ensure that millions of pounds of Energy Redress
    funding is deployed to organisations who will make the most positive impact with energy
    consumers and that funded projects are well managed and achieve their aims.

What you’ll do 

  • You will carry out scoring of grant applications and help with the process of approving
    projects for funding as well as promoting the scheme and answering questions from applicants
    and grantees.
  • You will also act as key contact for a list of grantees, will review their reports and
    grant claims, highlight issues with project delivery and assist grantees in addressing those
    issues.
  • You will support wider programme activity and have the opportunity to develop specialisms
    in project areas.

What you’ll bring 

  • Good understanding of energy issues for energy consumers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including interaction with people in senior roles
  • Good understanding of project management
  • Proficient user of MS Office Suite

This is a permanent full-time position, with some flexibility to discuss part-time
options.
Our standard weekly hours are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday.

We are open to flexible working locations (within the UK) and as standard we offer all
contracts on blended (home and office-based) working.
