The Development Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting fundraising projects to deliver major and principal gift fundraising goals through sound project coordination of key activities delivered by different teams within Advancement and by other teams within the University.

As a Development Project Coordinator, you will:

  • Prepare high quality proposals and compelling narrative to develop fundraising cases for support for principal gift level donors ($1m+)
  • Engage with senior staff from Faculties and Institutes to construct a seamless narrative for the donor, bringing together information from different areas of the university and writing a comprehensive proposal for the donor
  • Be responsible for supporting fundraising projects to deliver major and principal gift fundraising goals through sound project coordination of key activities delivered by different teams within Advancement and by other teams within the University.
  • Monitor and draft reports on progress against targets and manage the delivery of reports including quarterly progress reports, or University Executive reports.
  • Work with key stakeholders including Advancement divisional colleagues, University leadership, Faculty Executives, alumni, donors, and other members of the public.
  • Oversee project budgets and provide regular reports.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A Degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience and specialist knowledge in a similar role
  • Demonstrated understanding of the giving cycle and donor engagement, ideally in a University, research institute or not for profit environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively and effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated skill in coordinating complex projects within time and budget and delivering successful outcomes.
  • Demonstrated highly developed written skills derived from marketing communications experience and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on quality of output and accuracy
  • Experience working within an organisation with complex administrative structures, policies and procedures, preferably within the higher education sector.
