The Development Specialist is a key member Foundation communications, stewardship and fundraising campaigns. The Development Specialist manages and develops direct mail and e-mails solicitation campaigns, communication schedules and content, the Foundation website and social media, and stewardship touches. Development Specialist
Position reports to: Sr. Director of Philanthropy
Employment type: Full-time; salaried
Work schedules/hours: 40+ hours/week; flexibility to attend meetings and events outside of normal work hours is required.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 50+ donors as assigned and strategize renewals; develop, coordinate and conduct solicitations
• Manage and develop the direct mail program efforts statewide, including creating content and timelines, determining appropriate target audiences, coordinating with design and printing vendors, and analyzing results
• Develop and maintain Foundation communications schedule, including personalized, multi-channel tactics; manage Foundation communications schedule statewide to identify opportunities to partner on communications and ensure communications do not overlap
• Create, manage and execute meaningful, timely, and effective stewardship touches for Ascension St. Vincent Foundation donors through donor reporting, impact story-telling and donor recognition opportunities
• Develop and manage content for Foundation websites statewide, and build all online giving forms
• Manage and grow Foundation social media presence
• Develop and execute opportunities for web based, online and e-solicitation fundraising initiatives
• Create and deploy Foundation e-communications statewide
• Oversee and work with designer as appropriate to create Foundation collateral and marketing pieces
• Organize and prepare donor print newsletters and annual reports
• Collect and organize all photos, videos and other collateral for Foundation communication purposes
• Work collaboratively with Foundation staff
• Assist with additional projects as assigned
• Oversee budget and timelines for assigned areas, ensuring deadlines are met

The ideal candidate would have:
Bachelor’s Degree
Experience with Direct Mail and E-Solicitation Programs
Experience with managing Social Media and Website Content
Experience with Donor Communication, Gift Solicitations and Stewardship

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Certification specializing in Fund Raising preferred.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
