Job description
Ethiopia’s technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector remains supply driven and industry’s demand for higher-quality vocational education and training is not adequately addressed. Vulnerable groups, such as refugees, do not have adequate access. On behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, GIZ is committed to improving the employment prospects of refugees and the host population in regions of Ethiopia. The project “Qualification and Employment Prospects for Refugees, Internally Displaced People and Host Communities in Ethiopia II” has as objective to develop skills and provide employment opportunities for refugees, internally displaced persons and members of host communities in Ethiopia in line with national, regional and international strategies in the context of flight and internal displacement. The project will be co-financed by the European Union.

The security situation is tense. Tailored security risk mitigation measures are in place for GIZ staff in country. GIZ staff must adhere to security measures at all times. The freedom of movement is restricted. GIZ does not impose any restrictions on life partners and family members to move with you to the country of deployment. GIZ’s Development Service is looking forward to applications of candidates with a professional qualification and / or university degree and at least two years of professional experience. In addition you hold the German nationality or the nationality of a member state of the European Union.
