Your new role

  • Part time (minimum 0.4 FTE), fixed term up to June 2026
  • Located in Batemans Bay, NSW
  • Annual full-time salary between $98,185.54 to $ 102,491.77

The Dietitian will manage an allocated caseload to deliver nutrition and dietetic services including screening, assessment, intervention, and evaluation across the continuum of care, within a multidisciplinary team and in accordance with professional and ethical standards. This includes independent day to day planning, service prioritisation, demand management, administration, service advocacy and resource management activities.

Duties

In consultation with the headspace Manager, the Dietitian:

  • provides dietetic and nutrition education services including clinical assessment, education (initial and on-going) and interventions.
  • incorporates health behaviour change techniques into treatment, where appropriate.
  • uses evidence-based practice, established guidelines, policies, procedures, and increasingly independent clinical judgement to support clinical decisions in a complex and varied caseload including patients with complex medical co-morbidities and social issues.
  • maintains patients’ confidentiality.
  • participates as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of Dietitians Australia and evidence of extensive clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current nutrition and dietetic practice.
  • A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
  • Proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision.
