Financial Rights Legal Centre (Financial Rights) is a community based legal centre in Surry Hills specialising in helping consumers of financial services, particularly credit, banking, insurance and debt.
The role
We’re hiring a full-time Digital Communications Coordinator for an 18-month contract with potential to renew. Part-time options are available. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to consumer rights advocacy, influencing positive change in the banking, insurance, and superannuation sectors.

Rewards and Benefits
- $70,000-$82,000 plus 12% superannuation, Salary Sacrifice available (up to $15,900 for tax free benefits)

The successful applicant will have:
Essential
- 2-3+ years’ experience in communications, digital marketing, web design and/or graphic design
- Details-oriented and a keen eye for design
- Demonstrated experience in creating high-quality online written and visual content, which could include writing and commissioning articles, copyediting, proofreading, design and layout, usability testing, engagement analysis, and liaising with designers, printers, developers and the like
- Proficiency across a range of technologies, including online publication tools, website content management systems, social media management tools, electronic direct mail software, graphic design software, and online engagement analytics tools
- Proven project and time management skills
- Can-do attitude with a proactive and self-starting approach, coupled with a willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and commitment to social justice
- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications such as communications, marketing, graphic design or public relations; and
- Comply with NSW current public health orders and requirements with COVID vaccination.
Desirable
- Understanding of SEO, Facebook Ads and Google Ads management and familiarity with Google Analytics
- Experience using WordPress CMS, Elementor, Adobe CS, MailChimp and Canva
- Experience in working in the not for profit sector; and
- Experience developing or carrying-out user-testing of online resources.
