UNITED WORKERS’ UNION

The United Workers Union is seeking a highly motivated Digital Content Producer to join our Aged Care portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Digital Campaigner, this position plays a key role in our digital team.

Are you a skilled content creator passionate about utilising digital marketing to drive social change? This is your opportunity to craft impactful content that raises awareness, engages diverse audiences, and inspires action. You’ll be responsible for producing and scheduling content across social media, email marketing, paid campaigns, website content and more.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who cares about workers’ rights and social justice and wants to put their skills towards building a better future for working people. The successful candidate will be on top of the latest digital trends, tools and platforms, show initiative, and be skilled at juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates with a proven record in digital content creation, and experience planning and executing data-driven digital strategies, will be highly regarded.

This role is a full-time permanent position and can be based out of any major Australian capital city.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

For our members to win change we need to grow big, and build an active, engaged membership which sees real, ongoing value in their Union. You’ll develop and execute end-to-end digital content strategies to extend the reach of the Union and unlock the collective power of workers.

  • Producing written and visual content, such as infographics, member testimonials, resource pages, paid ad graphics, videos, email newsletters, and more.
  • Implementing content strategies for social media, website, email marketing and paid advertising campaigns.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on the successful delivery of digital marketing initiatives.
  • Integrating data-driven insights and industry best practises to grow and evolve our digital platforms and audiences.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environments

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Demonstrable experience in creating creative and strategic content that engages and captivates audiences.
  • Experience in videography and editing, any skills in animation would be an asset.
  • Strong visual thinker with a skill of adapting complex issues into simple concepts.
  • Experience in planning multi-purpose content with an understanding of shelf life and recycling strategies.
  • A talent for writing with an ability to craft punchy copy for a range of audiences and platforms.
  • Proficient knowledge of digital platforms and communication tools.
  • Understanding of and commitment to the values and principles of the Australian Union Movement.
  • A marketing/communications qualification (or related) would be preferred but not essential.

To perform the role, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:

  • Right of Entry Permits
  • Immunisation against COVID-19 or have a medical exemption  

REMUNERATION

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:

  • Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;
  • 16% superannuation
  • 6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
