Digital Design Support For Bebbo Parenting Programme

NICEF has a mandate to uphold the rights of all children. We work to ensure every child is protected, healthy and educated, focusing on the children left behind by wider economic and social progress.

UNICEF’s Bebbo parenting app provides comprehensive, evidence-based information and interactive tools to support parents of children aged 0-6 years. To increase the app’s visibility and engagement on social media platforms, we are seeking a volunteer to create visually appealing and informative social media assets using Canva. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio demonstrating their graphic design skills and experience in creating content for various social media channels.

Each online volunteer would be required to deliver the following:

• Collaborate with the Bebbo marketing and communication teams to understand the app’s brand guidelines, target audience, and key messages
• Create a diverse range of social visual media assets on Canva: 20 static image posts; 5 short video animations or GIFs; 5 infographics or data visualizations ; 3 social media banner designs
• Design assets that are visually engaging, informative, and aligned with Bebbo’s brand identity and mission
• Ensure that the created assets are optimized for different social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn)
• Incorporate best practices in social media design, such as attention-grabbing visuals, clear typography, and effective color schemes
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from the Bebbo team and make necessary revisions
• Provide the final design files in appropriate formats (e.g., PNG, JPEG, MP4) for easy use by the social media team (including editable formats)
• The above deliverables will be done by each volunteer for different contexts for Bebbo programme.

Required experience:

• Strong portfolio showcasing graphic design skills and experience in creating social media content
• Proficiency in using Canva for designing various types of visual assets
• Knowledge of social media design best practices and platform-specific requirements
• Familiarity with basic video editing and animation techniques (e.g., using Canva’s video features)
• Excellent visual design skills, including typography, colour theory, and composition
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality output
