Digital Learning Coordinator (2 year contract with possibility for extension/potential to become permanent) *New Position
Location: Our office is located in Toronto, Ontario; however, this position can be located anywhere in Canada with flexible / hybrid / and remote work arrangements available.

About the position: The Digital Learning Coordinator will work with the Programs team to enhance online learning platforms (Howspace) to host modules and training tools for a suite of Knowledge Exchange resources, including the launch of two new training courses, Capacity Building for Community Food Organizations and Welcoming Spaces, which will launch in 2024.
Responsibilities:
The Digital Learning Coordinator will be responsible for the design and development of interactive and engaging e-learning tools and the provision of support and training to users. They ensure that e-learning is engaging, interactive, and aligned with CFCC’s values and learning objectives.
– Establish an internal framework with CFCC-specific instructional design principles to meet the learning needs of partners
– Review and evaluate learning frameworks that we are currently using in order to make recommendations for the future
– Provide support and training to CFCC staff and users of e-learning content and technology solutions using accessible concepts and language for a variety of types users
– Develop interactive and engaging e-learning tools, informed by adult education principles.
– Adapt e-learning content to accessible formats
– Coordinate evaluation of digital learning activities in consultation with network members, and advise CFCC on opportunities to strengthen and advance how content is shared with partners
– Review and refine existing platforms and course material, based on partner feedback and engagement analytics
– Collaborate with CFCC staff and consultants to design and implement engaging and content rich online training, short courses and webinars for our Community Food Centre and Good Food Organization partners
– Align with CFCC values and contribute to the evolution of our culture, and a work environment that is grounded in Equity, Courage, Relationship-focused and Integrity
Qualifications:
– 3-5 years of experience in education, instructional design, or a related field
– 3-5 years of experience and up-to-date knowledge of e-learning platforms and technology solutions. (We use a platform called Howspace)
– Demonstrated ability to adapt formats to be accessible to a diversity of participants and audiences
– Knowledge of instructional design principles and strong technical skills are also important qualifications for this role.
– Experience in facilitating community-based/non-profit organizations in online meetings and in-person gatherings
– Demonstrated experience with developing training and learning resources in a variety of media (print, video, and web resources; virtual and in-person training) using adult education principles
– Excellent writing and communications skills
– Knowledge of a range of community-based food programs an asset

Compensation
Hiring Range: $50,000-$60,000 annually, including a comprehensive benefits plan, pension plan, 3 weeks paid vacation, increasing to 4 weeks paid vacation in your second year of employment, a December break (usually a week) to recharge, wellness days and access to an Employee Assistance Program, pro-rated accordingly
