A great opportunity for a Digital Marketing Co-ordinator to join the University of Surrey’s ambitious Communications and Marketing directorate on a fixed-term, maternity cover basis.
Responsible for the day-to-day management of a range of content across the University’s main website, this is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and skilled individual to work in the Higher education sector alongside other talented marketing professionals.

Role & Responsibilities

You’ll be an enthusiastic, collaborative and passionate digital marketing professional, with a keen eye for detail and a proven track record in editing or writing digital content which facilitates an excellent user experience.

You’ll support the creation and delivery of marketing and recruitment email communications aimed and prospective and incoming students, as well as advising, creating and uploading website content as an in-house expert using our Content Management System.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Use the University’s CRM to create and manage student marketing and recruitment customer journeys, then create, edit and send emails, ensuring they are the best they can be and meet the University’s marketing and recruitment objectives.
  • Work closely with the Email Marketing Officer and Marketing Data Co-ordinator to review email frequency to ensure communications are sent in a timely manner to our audiences, and GDPR compliant.
  • Use the University’s CMS (Drupal) to create, edit and publish pages, page elements and site sections to ensure that the user experience and journey for website users is optimal. (Training will be provided.)
  • Scope, plan, create, edit and publish high-quality student marketing and recruitment content, following agreed guidelines and templates across all channels (web and email).
  • Support the Digital Content team’s role in maintaining the accuracy and currency of our digital content landscape, keeping it accurate, up-to-date, optimised and adheres to digital best practice.
