OTEGBP £29,000.00/Yr.OverviewDigital Marketing ExecutiveGateshead (HYBRID)Lookers is seeking two talented Digital Marketing Executives to join our marketing team in Team Valley. As a leading UK automotive retailer, you’ll work with over 30 top vehicle manufacturers, gaining valuable industry experience and reporting to the Digital Team Leader.As a Digital Executive, you’ll be key in boosting our digital presence and running various campaigns across SEO, email, PPC, and other digital marketing channels. You’ll come up with innovative strategies to increase brand awareness, drive website traffic, and generate leads for multiple OEM and partner brands. Your job will cover all aspects of digital marketing—from using analytics tools to refine strategies, to implementing SEO tactics, and working with the marketing team on email campaigns. Keeping up with digital trends, you’ll suggest new approaches to keep us ahead of the competition.Responsibilities
- Create and update landing pages, ensuring they align with marketing campaigns, are visually appealing, user-friendly, mobile-optimised, and have fast load times.
- Conduct A/B testing, and monitor analytics to optimise performance and increase conversions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Audit website content for visual presentation, readability, user experience, and alignment with SEO best practices, including keyword usage, meta tags, and URL structure.
- Promote Finance Promotions via the New Vehicle Management Portal, following the Finance Promotions Approval Process and uploading accurate CAP descriptions, images, pricing, ensuring consistent formatting of car offers.
- Implement on-page optimisation techniques and collaborate with the development team for a search engine-friendly website.
- Monitor website rankings, organic traffic, and keyword performance using SEO tools, making adjustments as needed.
- Manage PPC campaigns on Google Ads by conducting keyword research, creating targeted ad groups, and writing compelling ad copy.
- Plan, implement, and optimise display ad campaigns on the Google Display Network, aligning with the automotive retailer’s brand and objectives.
- Identify relevant websites and placements, set targeting options (demographics, interests, remarketing), and monitor and adjust campaigns for optimal performance, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Develop and execute email marketing campaigns aligned with the automotive retailer’s goals, collaborating with the Content Team to create compelling copy and visually appealing templates using tools like DotDigital and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Manage the EDM distribution process with the CRM team to test and ensure accurate targeting and timely dispatch.
- Conduct A/B testing, monitor and analyse email campaign performance metrics, adjusting strategies to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Identify promotional opportunities for targeted, personalised communications.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is desirable.
- Proven experience in digital marketing, including managing digital campaigns is desirable.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Ads Manager, email campaign software, Web CMS and more
- Salesforce and Marketing Cloud experience would be advantageous.
- Awareness of legal requirements and compliance regulations related to content creation, such as marketing regulations, FCA Consumer Duty, data protection, and privacy regulations.

Strong analytical skills, creativity, and meticulous attention to detail are essential for this role, as is the ability to collaborate with team members across multiple projects and meet deadlines.
