Our values are incredibly important to us.As our Digital Marketing Executive you will help develop and shape our marketing campaigns, through our owned, earned, and paid channels. This role will have a focus on our paid channels, helping develop and execute the marketing strategy for mortgages and savings.You will help drive mortgage and savings enquiries through our key channels including, content and media (organic and paid) and provide insightful reports to help shape future marketing campaigns.This is a hybrid working position however the successful applicant will be required to work from our Head Office in Carlisle as required.The Benefits

The RoleAs part of the Campaigns team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of paid digital marketing campaigns which can include paid search, display, social advertising and SEO, supporting the delivery of the marketing strategy with a focus on generating enquiries. In addition to this you will:
- Develop and implement the paid media plan, constantly building and optimizing to achieve results.
- Work closely with the campaigns team to create and distribute engaging media content across channels.
- Working closely with our Campaigns and Commercial Managers to provide ongoing analysis of marketing activities with a focus on paid media. This will include weekly reporting, providing insights, looking at general market data and customer experience developments to provide constantly improving tactics that ensure our marketing delivers key results.
- Develop our paid media strategy working with key agencies, our insights and campaign teams to determine KPIs for each recommendation and ROI.
- Work with agencies to ensure all marketing communications are on brand and consistent with the new The Cumberland brand guidelines and activities deliver on campaign objectives.
- Keep up to date with financial sector / industry news and look out content opportunities, market trends and monitor competitor activity.
- Conduct market research using a range of online tools and direct with customers to improve member engagement.
- Delivering insights and analysis for marketing activities pre and post campaign launch, ensuring performance and insights are effectively used internally and externally for maximum results.
- Define, monitor, and analyze current and future paid channel and content trends relevant to targeting our segments.
- Confident to communicate marketing activities effectively across the organization, internally and externally. Act as a ‘digital advocate’ within the business, liaising with other departments and our branch network, and using digital to enhance their online presence.
- Understand and be aware of the risk and control environment in your area of the business and adhere to processes and procedures to minimise risks. Ensure all marketing output is compliant.
About YouYou’ll have a strong understanding of, and experience in, digital marketing with experience of managing multiple media channels, creating and updating digital marketing plans and reports and uploading and publishing content to paid, owned, and earned channels.Digital/Marketing qualifications are desirable but not essential with the right experience:
- Knowledge or experience in working with digital/marketing agencies or other third parties to work together to deliver and report on campaigns
- Understanding of end-to-end marketing strategy
- Strong knowledge of and experience using Google digital marketing platforms including Google Analytics, and Google Ads.
- Previous experience within a digital and analytics role within financial or regulated business is preferred.

- Risk Aware: Possesses a deep understanding of the regulatory environment. Ensures CBS is legally compliant and focuses on strict standards to protect the members’ assets and the stability of CBS. Promotes and fosters a culture of transparency in relation to risk both internally and externally. Ensure that this approach to risk is communicated at all levels throughout CBS.
- Attention to detail: Ability to follow marketing approval process and GDPR.
