About the role:
The Digital Marketing Lead at SANE Australia will play a pivotal role in elevating the organisation’s brand profile across digital platforms. This role is responsible for maximising market presence and driving the acquisition, engagement, and retention of key target audiences to SANE’s digital mental health services and initiatives.
In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Digital Marketing Lead will utilise their strong leadership, digital marketing, and communication skills to develop and implement effective digital marketing strategies. This includes the design, management, and evaluation of campaigns aimed at diverse audiences, including individuals living with complex mental health issues, their families, friends, carers, and mental health professionals.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of consumer needs and market trends, capable of aligning these with SANE’s organisational objectives. The role demands strong communication skills, a collaborative approach, proficiency in data analysis for actionable insights, and a willingness to explore innovative marketing tactics and technologies.
Duties:
- Develop and manage annual digital marketing strategies for SANE’s mental health services, focusing on brand awareness, social media, digital advertising, and SEO.
- Monitor digital marketing trends and consumer insights to inform and adjust strategies.
- Manage marketing budgets and create strategic documentation for organisational alignment.
- Collaborate with the marketing team and external stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns and on-brand digital content.
- Oversee and optimise social media, digital advertising, and SEO strategies to drive engagement, community growth, and conversions.
- Provide leadership and support to the Social Media Coordinator and manage relationships with digital agencies.
- Conduct regular analysis and reporting on campaign performance to ensure alignment with KPIs and optimise ROI.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Tertiary qualification in marketing with 4+ years of proven experience.
- Innovative mindset with a strong interest in digital marketing trends.
- Experience in audience research, competitor analysis, and identifying differentiation opportunities.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver marketing strategies that meet targets.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities, with flexibility to handle short-notice requests.
- Outstanding communication and copywriting skills across various channels.
- Experience managing suppliers and agencies (e.g., digital agencies, printers).
- Proficiency with Google platforms (Analytics, Ads, Tag Manager, Looker Studio).
- Solid knowledge of social media platforms, advertising, and data privacy practices.
- Strong CRM experience (preferably Salesforce) and email management (e.g., Campaign Monitor).
- CMS experience (e.g., Joomla, WordPress) and on-page SEO implementation.
- Experience in the mental health sector or not-for-profit organizations is highly preferred.
- Availability for occasional work outside of business hours.
