About the Role

The Digital Marketing Specialist plays an exciting role in helping Canberra Hospital Foundation enhance patient care for people of all ages, with any illness. Raising funds for specialised equipment, research, refurbishments, therapeutic programs and comfort items, this position is responsible for coordinating compelling digital campaigns and appeals. It ensures an effective, donor-centric approach to online communications and drives revenue, engagement, brand awareness, and participation.

Reporting to the Community Engagement Manager, you’ll coordinate, develop, and monitor the website, manage social media, digital communications, and fundraising initiatives, and assist with the delivery of email campaigns.

About You

You are an excellent communicator with a strong understanding of the digital ecosystem and how integrated campaign content can shape community and drive revenue. We’re looking for someone with experience growing engagement across digital channels, and with a track record working across content development, paid and organic digital media and analytics. You’ll champion A/B testing, continually optimise to improve performance, and have a heart for compelling storytelling across digital channels.

You’ll need to have experience working with analytics, SEO, and multiple relevant platforms, including CMS, CRM, and marketing automation platforms, Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, AdWords, and social media scheduling platforms. You’ll also need to be able to manage web content, produce reports and analysis, and develop annual social media and digital advertising plans.

This position is crucial to our growth strategy, and will suit someone who wants to use their digital marketing skills to build community and raise funds to help deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and deliver digital marketing and communications activities to drive awareness campaigns, appeals and fundraising initiatives
  • Work to manage the website and any other digital platforms for the Foundation including development of landing pages, coordinating content, optimising SEO and website performance
  • Manage digital marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Google Analytics, SEO and SEM platforms
  • Build paid and organic multi-channel campaigns
  • Drive social media growth and engagement ensuring the online supporter community is engaged
  • Support the fundraising team in ongoing lead generation activities
  • Collaborate with external agency partners to oversee and manage the delivery of multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Monitor, analyse and report on the performance of campaigns and acquisition activities

Skills and Experience

  • A qualification in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or related fields or experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of and familiarity with digital marketing platforms such as Google Suite (e.g. Google Ads, Google Analytics), SEO and SEM platforms
  • Proven experience implementing multi-channel digital fundraising or marketing activities
  • Proficiency in content management systems and email marketing tools and platforms – experience with funraisin and Campaign Monitor will be looked on favourably
  • Experience managing digital marketing and social media platforms including tracking and reporting
  • Excellent workflow management and time management skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills, willingness to be a collaborative team member
  • Ability to work autonomously with initiative and take ownership of set tasks
