If you’re as passionate about Customer Marketing and hospitality as we are, we want to hear from you!As part of Mitchells & Butlers’ drive to embrace new marketing technologies to delight our guests through personalised marketing communications and an efficient, optimised marketing tech stack we are recruiting a Digital Marketing Technology Manager who will be a specialist in both marketing technologies & automation to help us continue our journey to streamline processes, reduce complexity, and drive efficiencies to ensure a more cohesive and efficient approach to engaging with our audience. This role is for a 12 month fixed term/secondment basis.In this varied and challenging role, you will collaborate with vendor and agency partners to enhance our web, app and CRM user experience by utilizing platform technology effectively.You will take ownership for the design and implementation of digital marketing processes that leverage Mitchells & Butlers’ technology stack, including Adobe Experience Manager for Web, our incoming new Customer Engagement Platform for CRM and our task management solution Wrike.Alongside this, in an exciting area of business growth you will source and implement AI and automation solutions to simplify and accelerate the creation of marketing campaigns and support the planning and management of resources to accommodate fluctuations in demand, ensuring effective capacity management across the wider Digital Production team.As Digital Marketing Technology Manager, you will report into our Digital Production Manager in an Office Flexible role, being based at our vibrant head office in Birmingham City Centre. Joining a focused and innovative wider Operational CRM Digital Marketing team, working at the home of hospitality (our head office), you may not be serving our guests, but your support will put smiles on our guests and teams faces. - Partner with internal teams, vendors and agencies to continuously improve website and app user experiences.
- Develop and optimize digital marketing processes using the full capabilities of our technology stack, such as AEM and Wrike.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI solutions to streamline and expedite marketing campaign creation.
- Monitor and analyse performance metrics to ensure the effectiveness of digital marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of marketing technologies.
- Communicate, evangelise to and train internal teams on new technologies and processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to keep our marketing efforts innovative and competitive.
- Develop and maintain documentation for digital marketing processes and technology implementations.
- Support the resource planning and allocation process within the team to handle peak and trough periods effectively.
Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. What we’d like to see from you: –
- Experience of marketing production automation across web, app & CRM
- Experience of working with web and mobile applications (UX, content or product development).
- Experience of Adobe Experience Manager strongly preferred.
- Experience of Digital UX
- Experience of working with a Customer Engagement Platform for CRM
- Good communicator (written and verbal), strong team player and a drive to get things done.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Highly numerate & experienced in handling large data sets within Excel or similar, with the ability to quickly analyse, identify and summarise trends.
- Experience in capacity management and resource allocation to handle varying demands.
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and creative in approaching challenges – likes to bring new ideas to the table.
- Positive attitude and able to work collaboratively with agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of online consumer businesses / restaurant systems and/or comparable travel & leisure sector knowledge desirable.
- At the forefront of digital marketing innovation and trends.

When you work in a marketing role it is essential to have a real work hard / play hard ethos to live the brand that you represent when you’re creatively planning campaigns at Head Office or seeing them in action when you’re out in trade.
