About the Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) Program
Education Pathways to Peace in Mindanao (Pathways) is a Philippines-Australia partnership supporting quality inclusive kindergarten to grade 3 education for all children in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The program focuses on early years education as the foundation for life-long learning and development. By engaging and collaborating with a wide range of education stakeholders, promoting peace in education reform, and addressing inequity and disparity in education delivery, the program also contributes to peacebuilding in the region.

Delivered through the Bangsamoro Ministry of Basic, Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), activities are directed towards strengthening education p olicies and institutions, ensuring accessible and inclusive education for all children, providing an integrated education system and curriculum, and improving teacher quality and development.

Pathways is implemented by Palladium in consortium with the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER) and Orient Integrated Development Consultants Inc (OIDCI).

The program’s base of operations is in Cotabato City and covers all five provinces of BARMM.

About the position

The Digital Media Specialist manages, creates, and implements digital media strategies to enhance the Pathways program’s online presence and digital marketing efforts. The role will report to the Strategic Communications Adviser and work with the Communications Team to support the implementation of the Pathways’ Communications Strategy, with emphasis on increasing digital engagement metrics (e.g., website traffic, social media engageme nt) on Pathways activities and accomplishments and effective execution of digital media campaigns, resulting in increased brand awareness and public diplomacy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Child Protection: Level 1
The responsibilities of the individual do not involve contact and/or working with children.

The key responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:

Digital Strategy Development. Develop and implement a comprehensive digital media strategy across various platforms (including social media, website, and digital advertising) aligned with the Pathways’ overall communications strategy.
Content Management. Curate and manage all published digital content (e.g., images, video, written content). Ensure brand consistency in messaging and aesthetics across all digital channels.
Social Media Management. Manage the organisation’s social media profiles and presence, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Medium (Pathways Blog), and other channels. Create, schedule, and analyse all posts and social media campaigns.
Website Management. Coordinate the review and uploading of content to the Pathways website and contractor. Ensure content is current, user-friendly, and optimized for search engines. Work with website contractor to track and analyze site traffic and user engagement metrics.
Analytics and Reporting. Use social media insights and other tools to analyse and report on campaign performance. Make data-driven decisions to optimise strategies and improve performance.
Collaboration. Work closely with the Communications Team to create integrated digital marketing campaigns based on data and results from program staff and implementing partners.

Required Qualifications:

The Digital Media Specialist should possess the following qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, digital media, communications or a related field.
Proven experience as a Digital Media Specialist or Digital Marketing Manager.
Strong familiarity with social media platforms, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and web analytics.
Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.
Creative mindset with strong analytical skills.
