  • Hours: Full time – 5 days a week Monday – Friday, Shifts will be 9-5pm, and 12-8pm (fixed each week).

The Role:

The Service Lead manages a service delivery team to provide counselling supports to people with complex mental health issues and their families, friends and carers. The primary objective of this role is to lead a team in the delivery of high-quality services, to promote a positive team culture and to foster learning and development.

Key duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of SANE services, including: telephone calls, email enquiries, forum moderation, community engagement, online groups and events.
  • Provide guidance, support, and line management to a team of 10-15 people.
  • Facilitate team meetings, provide 1:1 coaching and support performance development.
  • Coach and empower a team to deliver high quality, person-centred and trauma informed supports to achieve team and organisational goals.
  • Work towards an established set of monthly KPI’s around service provision, clinical practice, and leadership.
  • Oversee clinical risks and incidents in accordance with established practice, policy and legislative frameworks.
  • Review case records, conduct quality audits and support continuous quality improvement.
  • Work closely with our Information Technology colleagues to ensure systems and technology continue to support the principles of best practice.
  • Assist in development, review and implementation of practice guidance for frontline staff.
  • Meaningfully contribute to the attainment of Organisational goals and operate in alignment with SANE values.

What you bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, or another relevant field.
  • Eligibility for membership with, or working towards full or provisional registration with, the appropriate professional body (AASW, AHPRA, PACFA, ACA).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar leadership role.
  • Experience within the Mental Health sector.
  • Full Working Rights in Australia.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in telehealth or a digital mental health service.
