The NORTH Foundation is the Fundraising partner of the Northern Sydney Local Health District including Royal North Shore Hospital, Ryde Hospital, Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and the Kolling Institute.

Impact you will have in this role
This newly established role will strengthen the NORTH Foundation’s online impact by strategically managing social media, crafting innovative digital campaigns, and providing support across digital platforms.
We are looking for a dynamic individual with a passion for digital communications, adept at utilising social media and digital resources who will advance their mission of fostering a society where quality healthcare is accessible to all.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a cohesive organic social media strategy in line with the NORTH Foundation’s objectives
- Coordinate the scheduling of social media posts and oversee daily activities across various channels including Facebook, X, Instagram, and LinkedIn
- Expand the digital community by actively engaging with followers, addressing queries and feedback, fostering conversations, and innovating approaches to enhance engagement and attract fresh audiences
- Strategise and execute platform-specific social media campaigns to bolster fundraising endeavours, promote events, advocate for health initiatives, and support other organisational goals
- Oversee the social media content schedule, ensuring comprehensive representation of each fundraising project or campaign
- Monitor, assess, and report on social media performance metrics to gauge the effectiveness of campaigns and overall online activities
- Utilise Canva for crafting captivating and unique social media graphics and visuals
- Work across Adobe Premiere Pro/Premiere Rush to produce videos tailored for specific social media platforms
- Participate in the initiation and facilitation of new digital tools such as SMS marketing or similar initiatives aimed at broadening outreach
- Support website maintenance tasks such as crafting QR codes, Bitly links, and other digital assets
- Offer digital assistance across the NORTH Foundation’s website, encompassing tasks like uploading blog posts, content updates, issue troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth functionality
- Work collaboratively with the Digital Marketing Specialist and broader marketing team to ensure clear messaging and content across all digital channels
Skills and Experience
- Degree or certification in digital marketing or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience (paid or voluntary) in social media, across multi platforms with the ability to create a variety of engaging content
- An understanding of social media strategies with the ability to create, manage, deliver schedules and analyse performance
- An understanding of digital trends with the ability to enhance current digital communications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use tools and software such as Canva, InDesign, and Premier Pro
- Proficiency in website management and content management systems
- A team player mentality with a commitment to working for a charity and a passion for healthcare
