Job Description

As the Software Development Manager within a dynamic team, you will help us deliver cutting-edge digital solutions to our external clients. Reporting to the Digital Solutions leader, you will work closely to oversee a talented team of 4-6 individuals, as well as contractors. Apply your technical expertise to drive the success of our software projects through clear design, planning, monitoring and advice. As the team grows, you will embrace an agile delivery approach between both managers and balance the development of new offerings with the support and maintenance of existing solutions. We are looking for a candidate who can help translate high-level outcomes into appropriate solutions based on our current technology stack within the proposed time and budget constraints.

The appropriate level of technical expertise is required in order that the accountabilities listed below can be carried out to the necessary standards:

• Ensures, directly and through subordinates, that projects are completed on time and to company standards.

• Recognised as expert level in one or more areas and capable of detailed architectural decision-making.

• Able to effectively manage the requirements and relationships with stakeholders.

• Provide effective leadership and team management with ongoing development of self and team members to ensure sustainable performance for the team.

• Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires in-depth knowledge of function or geography objectives.

• Ability to manage resources and develop the planning and reporting of progress within the project environment.

• May lead/mentor team of consultants and/or other staff.

Minimum requirements

• Managing software development projects – agile and scrum.

• Previously worked in a consultancy team environment

• Cloud infrastructure and cloud architecture experience

• Expertise with the Microsoft tech stack

• Familiarity with product management practices

• Experience of modern development frameworks
