Dining Aide/Dishwasher (Moulton Union)

• Daily operation of the dish room and pots and pans cleaning area.
• Performing sanitation duties as assigned which include but is not limited to, sweeping and moping floors, wiping walls, tables, and chairs, cleaning employee restrooms, all kitchen cooking equipment, refrigerated, frozen, and dry storage area, and loading dock area.
• Ensures that proper sanitation and safety standards are maintained.
• Maintaining serving line supplies, including milk and beverage machines.
• Washing and cutting vegetables and assisting in salad room.
• Stocking salad bar and deli areas.
• Refilling and replacing condiments (i.e., salt/pepper shakers, napkins, sugar, and jelly).
• Stacking dishware, pots, pans, and glassware for service.
• Occasionally assists with other kitchen and catering duties.

Pay rate: $17.50/per hour +$500 sign-on bonus (½ paid at first check, and ½ paid after 90 days of eligibility requirements are met).

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Commitment to customer service.
• Ability to understand and practice recycling and other sustainability practices.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to follow written and oral direction.

Preferred:

• Someone who has an eye for detail and is a thorough cleaner.

• No prior experience necessary.

Preferred:

• Some related experience. Demonstrated reliability as well as neat and clean appearance.
• ServeSafe certification (Dining employees will be provided training within their first six months to become certified).

• Scheduled hours are –
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (8:00 am – 4:00 pm)
  • Friday and Saturday (12:30 pm – 8:30 pm)
  • Days off on Sunday and Monday
• The role will be required to work occasional overtime, holidays, and during weather emergencies, in addition to working major college events and weekends (i.e., Parent’s Weekend, Commencement, and Reunions).
• This position is a full-time. academic-year round position working 40 hours/week for 38 weeks (.73 FTE)
• An academic-year round employee is not scheduled to work during winter, spring, and summer breaks.
