Apply today!Job DetailsPosition SummaryReporting to the VP Business Excellence and Technology, the Business Architecture Director will be a key senior leader accountable for the technology strategy of World Courier. This position is available on a hybrid working basis, and the successful candidate must be based in a country within the timezone range of GMT -5 (US East Coast) to GMT +2 (Eastern Europe), and have commutable access to a World Courier office location.The Business Architecture Director will:Partner with the Lead Team, to develop the technology strategy of the business unit. This includes:Establish and lead our annual technology strategy planning and budgeting cycle, ensuring alignment between our technology aspirations and our business strategy.Chairing our regular technology prioritisation steerco, helping balance competing priorities across multiple business and technology stakeholders in line with our strategy.Act as the primary strategy and design relationship owner with Cencora IT and selected key technology vendors, driving strategy and prioritizationEstablish and maintain the architecture capability for World Courier developing and maintaining a desired future state architecture aligned to our strategy.Lead our business analyst capability, ensuring that requirements are accurate, and developed in partnership with business process owners, in line with our chosen architecture.Establish and embed a technology strategy and design capability, bringing solutions that cater for people, process, and technology in a holistic manner.Initiate and manage key strategic partnerships with third parties to enable us to drive operational excellence and further enhance our customer and associate experience.Lead, develop and mentor managers and analysts within the Architecture and Business Analyst Teams.Work cross-functionally and cross-regionally – and with other Cencora business units, to develop solutions which respond to customers’ current and future requirements.Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Exemplify leadership principles that align to the culture of the business, including supporting and embracing best-in-class processes that are intended to enable a fully integrated approach to managing technology strategy across World Courier.
  • Manage and develop a team across multiple countries and time zones and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Own and lead the technology strategy development and execution for World Courier and manage the team to:
  • Provide governance for the World Courier technology strategy and initiatives.
  • Maintain and regularly refresh the World Courier technology strategy, inclusive of guiding principles, strategy and capability maps, application roadmaps, and prioritization framework.
  • Initiate and manage key strategic partnerships with third parties to enable us to drive operational excellence and further enhance our customer and associate experience.
  • Collaborate with key functions like IT, Training, Quality, Operations, Finance, Sales, etc. to effect change through understanding key needs, tailoring solutions to meet them and working with the Value Management Office to deliver change.
  • Develop and lead self; attend appropriate skills or industry training classes to build competencies; work with direct manager to meet/exceed expectations in order to qualify for increased responsibility; be considered as upwardly mobile within the organization.
  • Promote and support Cencora company policies, procedures, mission, vision and core values.

  • Ability to interpret industry trends and competitive information and develop strategies and tactics to respond to changes in the marketplace.
  • Strong data acumen with the ability to interpret and direct analysis on broad internal and external data to develop action plans based on the key identified trends and performance indicator tracking.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Excel (expert) required.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Requires a minimum of ten years required in a relevant role or professional services, ideally in a relevant sector – i.e. logistics or technology leadership.
  • Masters degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline ideal
