Summary of Position Responsible for supervision and management of the center to comply with all federal, state and local laws and regulations, follow the goals and curriculum of a developmentally appropriate college/lab school program that is NAEYC accredited, and meet
CTC directives, policies and practices.
Minimum Required Education • A Bachelor’s degree from a US regionally or nationally accredited institution of higher education in Early Childhood Education or related field before June 1, 2015.
• Texas Dept of Protective & Regulatory Services Director’s Certificate required.
Minimum Required Experience • Three (3) years of full time experience teaching children five years and under required.
• Experience as a director of a NAEYC Accredited center preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care, Texas
  • Rising Start standards, and of the NAEYC Standards of Accreditation
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate appropriate early childhood and
  • educational experiences for children under five
  • Management skills to include: personnel supervision; budget
  • preparation and management; equipment and supplies inventory, maintenance and replacement; additional reporting or tasks as requested by department or college
  • Knowledge of licensing and accreditation inspections
  • Ability to comply with Child Development Department directives, and practices.
  • Ability to comply with Central Texas College directives, policies and practices
  • Knowledge of Blackboard, Blackboard collaborate, WebEx,
  • Zoom, Marco Polo, other virtual platforms
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word) products.
Salary 1H/Per Salaried Pay Scale
Hours Full-time, indicate working hours – Mon – Thur 7:30am – 5:30pm Fri 7:30-11:30am

• Continuous CPR and First Aid certification
• Meet CTC Professional Development Requirements and participate in annual yearly training as required
