Introduction

European Research University (ERUNI) is seeking an internationally experienced individual to help shape the global reputation, academic positioning and long-term advancement of a rapidly developing research-oriented university in Europe.

This is not a traditional university marketing or communications role.

The position combines:

The successful candidate will work directly with university leadership and gradually build a highly international specialised team focused on:

Ideal Profile

We are seeking a candidate of Czech origin or a candidate with a strong long-term connection to the Czech academic and institutional environment together with at least basic Czech language proficiency, who also possesses:
• substantial international academic experience
• deep understanding of research-intensive institutions
• strong global orientation
• ability to operate across both Czech and international academic environments

The ideal candidate is expected to hold both a Master’s degree and a PhD from globally respected research-intensive institutions such as:
• University of Oxford
• University of Cambridge
• London School of Economics and Political Science
• ETH Zurich
or similarly internationally respected institutions.

The role requires:
• excellent English
• strong representational abilities
• deep understanding of global academic ecosystems
• willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

Working Environment

The position will be primarily based in Brno within a newly developed executive and research-oriented headquarters environment located in the Královo Pole research district near major research institutions, CEITEC infrastructure and Brno’s broader technology ecosystem.

ERUNI currently develops activities connected to:
Prague Ostrava, Brno, London, Amsterdam, Rome

The headquarters environment is designed to support:
