About the Role:

The Strategic Finance function at myAgro is highly aligned with departments across the organization, partnering with senior leaders in the areas of financial planning, forecasting and strategic analysis. As FP&A Director, you will manage one person and play a key role in driving analytics that guide critical business decisions, providing actionable insights, strategic analysis and accurate forecasts. You will report to the CFO.

  • You are customer service oriented – you are effective at bridging finance & operational leadership to reach common goals. You take pride in understanding the operational model and cadence and work to ensure your team’s work plans are in alignment. 

  • You’re an effective communicator able to work and support various stakeholders from the board, leadership team and donors/lenders.

You Will:

  • Direct all budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions

  • Create executive and Board-level presentations for Budgets, Forecasts, Actuals vs Targets, and KPI reporting 

  • Manage financial cycles of the organization including driving process and preparing annual budget, quarterly rolling forecasts, and monthly operating reviews

  • Build best-in-class strategic FP&A function and systems, tools and processes to support it 

  • Develop and utilize data-driven analytics, including reports and dashboards, to generate value-added insights and actionable recommendations to drive growth and influence KPIs

  • Partner with accounting and both global and in-country teams business leads  to streamline and improve efficiency in reporting which will drive financial results for the business

  • Support CFO and business unit leadership across myAgro  in developing long-term and short-term financial goals and support long-term strategic planning process for the business 

  • Analyze macro and micro trends and stay informed of strategic growth initiatives to understand their impact to forecasts and long-range financial projections

  • Other tasks as needed and deputy to the CFO

You Have:

  • Undergraduate degree and/or advanced degree, preferably with experience in accounting, finance, business or economics

  • 6+ years of accounting, FP&A, management consulting, or banking experience

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, a high level of organization, accuracy and attention to detail

  • Advanced competency with Excel and PowerPoint, with experience manipulating large financial data sets and building financial models

  • Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to present financial information in an accessible way to both financial and non-financial audiences

Based in: Dakar or East Coast US with travel to Dakar
