Reporting to the Senior Director of Development & Marketing
this position plays a key role on a dynamic team focused on
advancing the cutting-edge research in the field of nuclear
medicine and molecular imaging at SNMMI.

SNMMI is an international scientific and medical organization
dedicated to advancing nuclear medicine and molecular
imaging—precision medicine that allows diagnosis and treatment to
be tailored to individual patients in order to achieve the best
possible outcomes.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for organizing all aspects
of the SNMMI’s Major Gift Campaign Fund infrastructure to include
Board Meetings as well as identifying, cultivating, and stewarding
major donors who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of
medical innovation. Your efforts will directly impact the progress
of our groundbreaking research projects and contribute to
transforming the landscape of healthcare through nuclear medicine
and molecular imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

Major Gift Campaign for Medical Research:

Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, ensuring
alignment with the Fund objectives.

Coordinate cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and
collaboration.

Monitor project milestones, timelines, and deliverables,
adjusting as necessary to ensure success.

Provide regular updates to stakeholders, fostering transparency
and engagement.

Fundraising: Fundraise for the Fund’s$100
million fundraising effort to include organizing Board meetings,
cultivation events, donor stewardship and all donor and prospect
related efforts. The fundraising responsibilities are listed
below.

Donor Identification and
Research:
 Identify potential major gift donors who
have a strong affinity for medical research, nuclear medicine, and
molecular imaging. Utilize various research tools and techniques to
assess their capacity and inclination to contribute
significantly.

Cultivation and Engagement: Develop and
execute personalized cultivation strategies for major gift
prospects. Establish and maintain meaningful relationships through
meetings, events, presentations, and regular communication, aimed
at deepening their understanding and connection to our research
mission.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with the
research and communications teams to create compelling, customized
proposals that clearly articulate the impact of major gifts on
advancing nuclear medicine and molecular imaging research. Tailor
proposals to align with the donor’s philanthropic interests and
goals.

Stewardship: Ensure a high level of
stewardship for major donors, demonstrating appreciation and
recognition for their contributions. Provide regular updates on
research progress, outcomes, and the transformative impact of their
support.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in a related field such
    as philanthropy, nonprofit management, or communications.
  • At least 2- 3 years fundraising experience and managing
    projects
  • Proven track record of successfully raising transformational
    major gifts, ideally within a medical research or healthcare
    context.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and
    maintain strong relationships with donors, colleagues, and
    stakeholders.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including
    the ability to create compelling proposals and donor-centric
    communications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the
    ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating donor management systems
  • Understanding of nuclear medicine, molecular imaging, or
    medical research concepts is a plus.
  • Passion for advancing medical innovation and a commitment to
    making a lasting impact in healthcare.
