The Thunderbird School of Global Management (Thunderbird) at Arizona State University invites nominations and applications for a visionary, innovative, globally minded executive with a track record of inspirational leadership in a fast paced and global organization to serve as the next Director General and Dean of Thunderbird. This is a singular opportunity to lead a global leadership and management school that is one of the most unique higher education institutions in the world.

 

Thunderbird is the world’s premier institution for global leadership, management, business, and global affairs education for the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The School’s global footprint includes operations in Geneva, Mexico, Dubai, Tokyo, Seoul, Nairobi, Jakarta and around the world. At the heart of these centers of excellence is the F. The Director General and Dean is the chief executive officer of Thunderbird, responsible to the President and the Provost/Executive Vice President (EVP) of ASU’s https://provost.asu.edu for advancing Thunderbird’s unique vision and mission and to the Thunderbird community more broadly for its continued success. The Director General and Dean reports directly to the Provost-EVP, is a member of the Provost’s Deans Council and collaborates closely with other deans and enterprise leaders at ASU, including EVPs for ASU’s https://research.asu.edu and https://learning.asu.edu.

 

The Director General and Dean has overall responsibility for defining and meeting Thunderbird’s strategic goals, in line with the broader ASU Charter and developed in collaboration with the faculty; leading an exceptional executive team who ensure international excellence and educational and research programs of the highest quality; fundraising and managing Thunderbird’s financial resources; building partnerships with businesses, international organizations, and governments; and forging academic connections with other schools and units within the University. Crucially, the Director General and Dean must build and maintain excellent relationships with Thunderbird’s passionate alumni and be fully committed to the long term success of Thunderbird’s unique global community.
