Job PurposeThe Director Global Medical Affairs will support the development and execution of the global medical affairs strategy, including the evidence generation, medical communications, and external engagements throughout the clinical development and commercialization process. It is accountable for driving medical affairs initiatives in partnership with relevant cross-functional stakeholders, and will serve as an internal subject matter expert, with a strong commitment to achieving medical and corporate objectives while maintaining the highest ethical, regulatory, and scientific standards.Key responsibilities:

  • Supports the development of medical strategies and plans, translating strategies into key tactics, and executing in accordance with timelines.
  • Support in the delivery of medical communications strategy and activities, e.g. scientific platform, scientific/clinical content, abstracts, manu-scripts, medical education and scientific exchange
  • Support in the execution of Global advisory boards and steering committee meetings
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including KOLs and professional organizations in dermatology and rheumatology
  • Foster relationships with key scientific and academic research centres globally
  • Remain current on relevant clinical data, the competitive landscape, new therapies and clinical trends
  • Facilitate and continue to build MoonLake’s role as a science-based, patient-focused partner

Your profileEducation: PhD in science(s)
Experience:

  • 10+ years of medical affairs and communications leadership experience
  • Medical Affairs experience in industry (biotech or pharmaceutical)
  • Experienced in basic science and translational research in immunology or related medical field
  • Experience with partner engagement and interactions (e.g., key opinion leaders, investigators)
  • Experience in developing effective abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and slides and presenting at scientific meetings
  • Industry experience with knowledge of all applicable regulatory and legal requirements for Medical Affairs activities is required
  • Experience working with cross-functional in-house teams, as well as with external vendors

Skills/knowledge/behavioural competencies:

  • Clinical and disease knowledge base in dermatology and rheumatology
  • Proficiency in scientific and clinical data review and interpretation
  • Familiarity with global regulatory organizations, guidelines, and practices
  • History of solving problems while exhibiting sound scientific/medical judgment and a balanced, realistic understanding of issues
  • In-depth understanding of scientific methods and clinical applications based on medical, scientific, and practical rationale
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, relationship-building, and negotiating communication skills
  • Organized; attention to detail and ability to meet timelines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively prioritize workload

  • 2 days a week in our brand new Cambridge Office
