We operate across the infrastructure, energy and public services sectors.Our broader team G&I service areas include:

We provide specialist M&A services in relation to energy and wider infrastructure sectors such as transport and water. Our team has significant experience of advising clients on structuring options, ownership reviews, acquisitions and divestments. Please see our for more information on Deloitte Government & Infrastructure.Connect to your skills and professional experienceThe Deloitte Government & Infrastructure team has an exciting opportunity within the team for a Director level candidate. The role will be focussed on M&A offering in relation to the energy sector (and broader infrastructure).Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading our advice to our clients on a range of buy-side and sell-side transactions.
  • Leading the day-to-day management of transactions which includes preparation of information memoranda, management presentations, valuation analysis and taking responsibility for the preparation of information and client communications.
  • Leading and reviewing financial analysis, including complex analysis and financial models.
  • Responsibility for compliance related aspects of transactions.
  • Generating and delivering against a pipeline of transactions in the renewable energy and infrastructure.

The individual will also be expected to lead a range of non-direct client facing activities including:Business development:

  • Working with G&I leadership, you will develop specific revenue targets each year which you are responsible for delivering against.
  • Defining Industry research for both deal origination and transaction analysis.
  • Leading the strategic approach to and delivery of marketing and business development opportunities.
  • Working with our M&A leadership team, developing and delivering strategy for M&A within the G&I team.

Business operations and managementTeam and People leadership:

  • Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
  • Within the broader G&I team, you be responsible for leading the team operations, including development of financials, strategy, deployment of teams, internal reporting as required.

Technical skills and experience:Essential

  • Relevant M&A experience in the renewable energy sector in the UK and Europe;
  • Strong knowledge of sector participants;
  • M&A lead advisory experience with direct experience of managing transactions on a day-to-day basis;
  • Experience working under an FCA regulatory environment;
  • An excellent understanding of the financial and commercial aspects of energy and wider infrastructure sector;
  • Experience of designing and building complex financial models;
  • Excellent drafting skills;
  • Education to degree level or equivalent;
  • A recognised accountancy or relevant financial qualification (full or part qualified);
  • Deal execution experience;
  • Strong ability to lead client relationships and interactions; and
  • Experience leading and developing a team.
