The Director, International Distribution and Logistics is responsible for defining and executing the distribution strategy across International for BRP Units and PA&A (Parts Accessories and Apparel). S/he will be working closely with multiple stakeholders, internal customers, external providers and regional leaders. S/he oversees the development and delivery of operational excellence to our customers across the region in line with the Supply Chain strategy.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

Support the growth plan and Customer value proposition

  • Ensure leadership for the International Distribution Operations in collaboration with our 3PL Partners;
  • Improve and deliver on our customer service promise in line with BRP brand positioning in an evolving and competitive landscape;
  • Establish a network of value-added external partners to bring new concepts into the business;
  • Maintain a strong connection with the commercial leadership team to anticipate future business needs and define optimal solution set;
  • Develop a capacity requirement to support sales growth plan;
  • Optimize regional warehouse footprint worldwide with a proper hub and spoke strategy including our manufacturing inventory;
  • Adapt our operation practices to new growth levers like B2C and vehicle customization;
  • Continuously optimize key processes, systems & organizational elements.

Distribution Cost and Working Capital Optimization including freight inbound and outbound budget

  • Partner with BRP’s 3 party logistics partners to optimize warehouse efficiencies, both cost and service;
  • Optimize the inventory and space requirements by collaborating and influencing stakeholders on forecasting, eliminating excess stock and reducing lead-times while maintaining proper customer service level working in close collaboration with S&OP teams both on units and PA&A;
  • Identify and implement inbound and outbound freight cost optimization opportunities in collaboration with the global team;
  • Promote a continuous improvement mindset to support the lean pillar of BRP mission;
  • Stay connected with industry trends in supply chain.

Ensure efficient performance monitoring and promote best practices worldwide

  • Manage the budget/forecasts process and implement cost mitigation strategies when needed of all distribution and logistics aspects including warehouse, freight in and out budget;
  • Define standard KPIs across all regions and sites including Service Level Agreement with 3PL;
  • Establish an international governance mechanism connecting all operations leaders worldwide;
  • Monitor 3PL performance against contractual requirements and make proper adjustments where required in a cost plus model;
  • Lead and organize BRP Supply Chain Forum to ensure alignment and exchange on best practices worldwide;
  • Define and implement the new organizational structure of the future.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Bachelor’s in business administration, Logistic & Distribution, MBA or Engineering;
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in logistics and distribution management in similar industries (automotive, consumer goods, service parts, etc.): high number of SKUs and lines output, multi customer channels, global footprint;
  • Ability to lead significant supply chain optimization projects and associated system implementation;
  • Strong experience working in a third-party logistic model worldwide;
  • Good knowledge of SAP environment and any other well-known supply chain operations systems;
  • Fluent in English. French will be an asset but not a limitation;
  • Ability to manage international teams across multiple times zones;
  • Viewed as a strong & passionate leader with a focus on people, organizational development, relationship building and change management;
  • Organized and analytical, focused on process improvement and maximizing systems capabilities;
  • Recognized ability to solve problems and make decisions, as well as think laterally and offer creative solutions in a matrix organization with various stakeholders.
