Director of Advancement Operations and Principal Gifts

United Church Homes, a nationally recognized leading non-profit
dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for older adults through
quality housing, healthcare, and life enrichment services, is
seeking a Director of Advancement Operations and Principal Gifts.
This role will be managing the daily operations of the Advancement
Department, leading a robust principal gifts program, and
contributing to the strategic priorities of United Church
Homes.

About the Role: The Director of
Advancement Operations and Principal Gifts, reporting directly to
the Vice President of Advancement holds a pivotal leadership role
in our organization encompassing a broad spectrum of
responsibilities with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
Duties include the oversight of Advancement operations including
donor engagement initiatives, gift processing and stewardship,
annual appeals, donor communications, and donor recognition events.
The ideal candidate will craft and execute strategic and
operational plans for identification, qualification, engagement,
cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of high-net-worth donors
and prospects to secure and accelerate the commitment of principal,
planned, and blended gifts.

This position is outward facing, requiring exceptional
networking skills, a commitment to community engagement and
collaboration, and organized outreach efforts. The successful
candidate will embody a strategic mindset, equipped with the vision

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead Advancement operations; ensuring efficient gift
processing, donor stewardship, and effective fundraising
strategies.

– Collaborate with the Vice President of Advancement to advance
fundraising strategies and meet organizational goals.

– Direct supervision and professional development of staff,
ensuring alignment with UCH’s mission and values.

– Engage in principal gift fundraising, managing a portfolio of
individual, corporate, and foundation prospects.

– Develop/implement strategies for data analytics, donor
communications, and event fundraising to enhance donor engagement
and support.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree required

· Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) preferred

· 7-10 years’ experience in non-profit fundraising, including
annual giving and major and planned gift solicitation

· Strong leadership, communication, and project management
skills

· Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge and related fundraising
technology and the MS Office Suite

· This position requires 35-40% travel
