Job Summary:
The Director of Annual Giving reports to the Assistant Vice
President of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Relations. The
primary responsibility is implementation and execution of marketing
solicitations directed toward alumni, parents, and students. This
includes creation of the strategies, programs, and plans for the
on-campus phone and engagement programs, direct mail letters and
appeals, solicitation e-mails, social media, and SMS messaging as
well as other outreach methods including crowdfunding and
volunteers.

Working in the University Center where Advancement is housed.
Primary equipment to use includes the phone, laptop computer, and
commercial printers.
Physical Demands:
Physical demands are minimal, but communication with staff and
ability to articulate needs are paramount.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Full Time position with office hours matching University business
day as well as off hours, attending events on nights and weekends
occasionally when needed for event purposes.
Travel:
Minimal local travel may be needed.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary
range for this position is $90,000-$103,000. St. John’s University
considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and
responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience,
education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as
market and organizational considerations when extending an
offer.
This position may be relocated to any of St. John’s University’s
physical locations at any time.
