Qualifications: The Director of Clinical Education and Principal Faculty, Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine (Clinician Educator) position is a 12-month full-time non-tenure track clinical faculty appointment with administrative responsibilities. The individual should hold a master’s degree, preferably a doctorate. Individuals not in possession of a master’s degree, but with exceptional educational and/or clinical experience may be considered with the expectation that at least a master’s degree be completed as a condition of continued employment. PA Principal Faculty should be a physician assistant, must hold current NCCPA certification, and must be licensed to practice in the State of California. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of three years clinical experience and a minimum of 5 years teaching experience preferably in a physician assistant education. Faculty must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and should demonstrate consistency in: interpersonal, leadership, and management skills. Non-Physician Assistants may be considered for this role, but must have appropriate degrees and/or credentials that are related to their area of expertise at the master’s degree level or higher. Director of Clinical Education Job Responsibilities: The Director of Clinical Education is responsible for oversight of the clinical phase of the curriculum in conjunction with the Program Director. Faculty should chair the accreditation self-study committee that focuses on the clinical curriculum and serve as a member of the curriculum committee. Additional responsibilities include:

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 – $135,000.
