Director of Donor Experience

Description

Glasswing International is seeking a creative, collaborative,
and motivated professional to help fundraising, outreach, and
strategy. They will develop an in-depth understanding of Glasswing
programs to help with engagement, manage relationships, and secure
support from donors. Reporting to Glasswing’s US Country Director
and working very closely with the President and Co-Founder and
other senior leadership, the Director of Donor Experience will help
strategize and implement a fundraising strategy, with a strong
focus on building out major donor engagement and giving. This
position is based in our New York City office with a hybrid work
schedule. The role also has the potential to travel domestically
and internationally to visit with donors. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support Glasswing’s President and Board of Directors in
  maintaining external relationships with new and current
  supporters.
• Works collaboratively with the President on prospect research;
  identifying new giving opportunities; and developing proposals,
  briefing and gift reports.
• Develops relationships with prospects/donors through
  individualized plans.
• Represent Glasswing at meetings and events.
• Solicits support through in-person and written
  communications.
• Effectively communicate development efforts (timeline, tasks,
  and goals) to appropriate parties.
• Works with communications team to prepare presentations,
  one-pagers, and other collateral to support fund development.
  
• Oversee donor project management database, including tracking
  touchpoints with donors.
• Partners internally to understand programs, budgets, and
  outcomes, to relay strong cases for support and reports.
• Develops and maintains relationships with various program
  staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to motivate and to take initiative as a
  self-starter.
• Must have excellent writing, interpersonal communication, and
  relationship building skills.
• Experience with donor cultivation preferred.
• Dependability and good organizational skills.
• Excellent planning and project management skills and attention
  to detail.
• Flexible, curious, and skilled problem-solver.
• Strong belief in Glasswing International’s mission.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant development experience.
  
• Fundraising event experience is a plus.
• Spanish language fluency is a plus.
