EHMA is looking for a Director of Policy and Research
The successful candidate will lead the Policy Department and unite the skills, knowledge and experiences of the EHMA members, secretariat and our networks into impactful research and policy initiatives across the multiple classifications of Europe. They will lead and deliver an outstanding portfolio of research and policy activities that support excellent health management across Europe.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Maintain and promote the key messages of our comprehensive policy stock take to ensure all our policy and research work is founded in the views of our Members.
- Empower a team of Policy Officers and support all colleagues across the organisation.
- Produce research reports, analysis, policy briefings, and speeches.
- Ensure the highest level or policy and research-informed representations of EHMA in a broad array of influencing activities including policy networks, conferences, committees, special interest groups, and other high-level meetings.
- Implement and maintain EHMA’s parliamentary and public affairs monitoring.
Profile
- You have a Master’s degree in health management, public health and you bring at least 7 years of direct experience in policy and research in European health care.
- You have an outstanding knowledge of the European health ecosystem; global trends in health and health management; and EU institutions and their decision-making processes.
- You have extensive knowledge and experience of research methodologies for policy development, and of stakeholder mapping.
- You have experience writing effective proposals and content for project deliverables, and outstanding project and partnership management.
- You can confidently manage, mentor and coach staff and interns with clear direction, goals and support.
Job package and eligibility
This position is offered according to Belgian national legislation. It is an offer for a full-time position of 38 hours per week with an open-end contract. All applicants must be qualified, eligible and able to work in Belgium, and are required to be based in Belgium.
