FH is seeking an experienced Director of Programs (DoP) for our Cambodia office to lead our overall program portfolio, including program planning and implementation. The qualified DoP will have 5 years of progressive working experience in leading multi-sector programming with country leadership and people manager experience. Additionally, the top candidate will have a master’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in development studies, project management and multi sector development program, and:
A vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor, and in full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs;
Proficiency in spoken and written English;
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals;
Ability to effectively present information and to respond to questions from group managers and donors;
Experience working with diverse team members with proven success in dealing with people from different perspective;
Ability to travel up to 40% of time domestically to different Area Programs (APs) and communities and possible international travels.
Qualifications
What you’ll do…
As the Director of Programs, some of the responsibilities will be (not a complete description of responsibilities):
Strategic alignment and execution in country’s strategic/operating plan and ensure its alignment with global direction;
Provide leadership and foster collaboration within team identity and execution of the AP Growth Plan;
Identify the need to fill funding gaps at the AP level and keep sharing funding opportunities with Business Development Manager, proactively support in composing proposals – technical interventions and operational plans;
Lead execution of system practice and solutions design, including crafting the road map, capacity building to key staff, and key timeline for implementation at the AP level;
Ensure all the donor requirements of design and planning are followed (approval and submission on time with quality of report, impact story, and requests as donors requirement);
Lead major donors’ visits and executive visits with expected results in satisfactory program implementation aligned with the organization’s direction;
Host the government monitoring visits;
Provide leadership to the program’s effectiveness and program delivery to ensure the reporting is submitted to the government on time and the agreed templates are in place;
Act as the Country Risk Champion by leading and facilitating the process of risk identification, risk system orientation, registration, analysis and follow-up actions;
Accountable and ensure the risks under program are identified and properly designed and implementation of mitigation controls;
Champion promoting FH culture, mindsets, and behaviors in all interactions, serving as a role model.
