ROLE of the POSITION
The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding at the Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV (KKSOM) will provide innovative leadership for the recruitment of physicians, academic and administrative faculty, and classified employees. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will have a hands-on approach to recruiting efforts that include, but are not limited to, calling candidates and applicants, negotiating compensation packages, answering related inquiries and emulating customer service excellence. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will oversee the recruitment team and their related duties to ensure that KKSOM meets its current and future staffing needs. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will collaborate with department chairs and the CEO of the faculty practice plan (UNLV Health) to develop, initiate, and execute recruitment operations on a regular basis. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will be responsible for the creation and distribution of data reporting efforts detailing recruitment efforts to internal stakeholders and leadership. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will be a key contributor to the facilitation of on-boarding new employees while collaborating with internal departmental stakeholders in UNLV Health and the KKSOM. This work shall include developing recruiting and on-boarding materials while educating internal stakeholders regarding related process and documentation. The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will serve as a thought partner to leadership to facilitate continuous enhancement of recruitment strategies, policies and processes.
The Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding will lead a team that facilitates recruitment and onboarding in various aspects. It is the responsibility of the Director of Talent Acquisition and On-boarding to mentor employees, to be flexible to change as needed and to provide consultation with unique and innovative searches. The incumbent of this position will need to become a subject matter expert regarding compliance with state and federal policies, NSHE policies, as well as UNLV Health and KKSOM policies. The incumbent should understand physician relations, physician specialties and physician compensation. The incumbent will also need to understand non-clinical staffing recruitment. This position will collaborate closely with University partners in the creation and classification of positions and appointments.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university and 3 – 5 years of experience. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
