You will experience these qualities of passion, pride and aspiration in many ways from a rich set of career development programs to support of community service projects to social events that foster fun and relationship building across our global community.The candidate will join our Global Professional Services organization based in the Pune office whose primary responsibility is leading and managing a team of Professional Services Consultants with a specific focus on deploying Petroleum Supply Chain solutions to our customers around the world. Particularly AspenTech’s petroleum planning and scheduling solutions for our global Oil and Gas or Petro Chemical customers. This is a unique position for an exceptional Leader to use their skills to engage with customers and build strong relationships externally and internally with other BUs. This Director role will have fiscal goals and organizational metrics. Travel for customer visits is expected both domestically and internationally.Your Impact
- Leading the professional services team of a products company
- Defining processes and managing collaboration with global Services teams globally
- Providing leadership for the Services function and integrating strategic direction into the Services program activities and goals
- Building and developing the team by recruiting, training, defining staff development areas and providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and training
- Developing strong working relationships across Sales, Product, and Business Consultant teams
- Executing strong business practices to drive effective use of consulting methodologies within the team to achieve and exceed customer expectations
- Contributing to the Product team by providing insight and feedback relative to customers’ critical business issues and solutions opportunities
- Improvising customer’s adoption of Aspen Unified Planning and Scheduling technologies and providing superior customer experience
- Delivers multiple software implementation projects on budget and on schedule with high customer satisfaction.
- Monitors teams’ projects and ensure projects are executed within budget and on-time
- Functionally supervises contractors, consultants, and engineers assigned to the projects.
- Recommends changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears it is not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results.
What You’ll Need
- Minimum of 8+ years of technical/Oil & Gas Industry experience and 5+ years of management experience for a team of 10+ employees.
- Experience working with large-scale projects impacting multiple business functions at multiple locations, including international, and managing resources to support efficient execution.
- BS/MS required in Chemical Engineering or other Engineering focus
- Experience with implementation of scheduling or planning models for the Petroleum Industry using AspenTech Petroleum Supply Chain suit or other 3rd party equivalent solutions is highly considered.
- Having Process and economic understanding with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in oil and refinery industries, with an in-depth understanding of crude, gas, NGL, and refinery processing units is essential.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into a set of project deliverables and associated tasks.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral), with an ability to listen and to articulate project status and issues. Communication experience should include presentations at all organizational VP levels and higher.
- Ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
- Ability to build and manage a Professional Services org (with its own P&L) in a software company
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously
- Team player who will work across the organization to create and drive an actionable strategy for your organization
- Team building and management skills, to bring a diverse group together to deliver required business results. Showing leadership through influence, rather than exercising leadership via formal hierarchy.
- Good working understanding of the project management lifecycle and the key knowledge areas of project management: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resource, communications, risk, procurement, and stakeholder.
- Customer Focus – proven track record of customer satisfaction and delivery success and ability to establish and maintain appropriate relationships with business and key stakeholders.
- Consulting/Problem Solving – ability to work in an advisory capacity to identify key problems, develop and evaluate alternative solutions, and make recommendations.
- Must be able and willing to travel at least 20% of time, including some international travel.
